What is Unhealthy-work and hazard pay (insalubridade e periculosidade)?

Unhealthy-work and hazard pay are premiums for exposure to risk. Unhealthy-work pay (10%, 20% or 40% on the base) compensates exposure to agents harmful to health; hazard pay (30% of salary) compensates dangerous activity. They do not stack — the employee chooses the more favorable.
