What is Workplace harassment (assédio moral)?

Workplace harassment is abusive, repeated conduct that humiliates the worker. It differs from generic moral damages by its repetition and the degradation of the environment: humiliating targets, isolation, ridicule. Once established, it gives rise to non-pecuniary reparation, measured by the parameters of arts. 223-A to 223-G of the CLT, introduced by the 2017 Labor Reform.
It may also ground constructive dismissal and connect to occupational illness of a psychological nature. The evidence — testimonial, documentary, messages — is the heart of the dispute.
