What is Settlement (acordo trabalhista)?
Also: acordo trabalhista · transação · settlement
A settlement is a composition between the parties that ends or prevents the dispute, with mutual concessions, a defined value and discharge, approved by the court. It may occur before the action (out-of-court settlement) or in its course.
Settling early usually pays off when conviction is likely and the value grows with time (interest, restatement); delaying, in those cases, is costly.
